At the moment, there are six biological agents licensed by FDA for the treatment of CD (infliximab, adalimumab, golimumab, certolizumab, vedolizumab, and natalizumab, the last two being an anti-α4β7 and anti-α4β1integrin, respectively), and three for UC (infliximab, adalimumab, and vedolizumab), whereas the EMA did not approved natalizumab for IBD [4].
