I desire, therefore, to place on record the following case. The patient, a Jewess, age 16, came to see me in May, complaining of a growth in the privates accompanied by bleeding. Shortly before leaving school at the age of 13, she noticed a small swelling about the size of a plum at the vulva. At first sessile, it gave rise to inconvenience but no pain was experienced. The swelling gradually increased in size, and with this increase in size began to hang down and become pediculated. A year ago the patient began to experience difficulty in locomotion, owing to the growth coming in contact with the thighs. Latterly, as the surface of the tumour showed signs of excoriation, bleeding set in, not much at a time and usually at intervals of a week. Of late, owing to the haemorrhage becoming more frequent and the general health beginning to be undermined, she was glad to seek medical aid.
