چکیده

Ten years ago a protein of apparent M, 36,000 was identified as a major cellular target for the transforming tyrosine kinase encoded by the src oncogene. In a series of in vivo labeling experiments, Radke and Martin [1979], Radke et al. [1980], and Erikson and Erikson [1980] showed that p36 is phosphorylated on tyrosine residues when chicken embryo fibroblasts are transformed by Rous sarcoma virus. This finding sparked much interest in p36 and initiated the search for its cellular function(s). Several studies proposed a role in membrane-cytoskeleton interactions, membrane fusion, or signal transduction. While the exact physiological role of this pp60"" substrate is still unclear, intensive research has led to a detailed biochemical and structural characterization of p36, which will be discussed in this review.

The tight association of the tyrosine kinase substrate annexin II with the submembranous cytoskeleton depends on intact p11- and Ca(2+)-binding sites.

Annexin II, a member of the annexin family of Ca(2+)- and lipid-binding proteins, is a major substrate of the pp60src kinase. It is unique within the annexin protein family, since it can form a tight heterotetrameric complex with the cellular protein ligand p11, a member of the S100 protein family. Within the cell, the annexin II2p11(2) complex is localized at the cytoplasmic surface of the pla...

The Effect of Protein Kinase-B on FOXO Autophagy Family Proteins (FOXO1 and FOXO3a) Following High Intensity Interval Training in the Left Ventricle of the Heart of Diabetic Rats by Streptozotocin and Nicotinamide

Background: FOXO family proteins are important factors in autophagy pathway. Protein kinase-B is an important regulator for this family that can be regulated through exercise training. Therefore, the aim of this study is to investigate the effect of protein kinase-B (PKB) on FOXO autophagy family proteins (FOXO1 and FOXO3a) following high intensity interval training (HIIT) in the left ventricle...

P3: Mechanisms of TrkB-Mediated Hippocampal Long-Term Potentiation in Learning and Memory

Long-term potentiation (LTP) is a process that certain types of synaptic stimulation lead to a long-lasting enhancement in the strength of synaptic transmission. Studies in recent years indicate the importance of molecular pathways in the development of memory and learning. Tropomyosin receptor kinase B (TrkB) is a member of the neurotrophin receptor tyrosine kinase family, that its ligand is b...

Serum Factors Induced the Nuclear Location of Annexin V in the Human Osteosarcoma Cell Line (MG-63)

Calcium-binding proteins play essential roles in the cell. One important class of calcium-binding proteins is the annexin family. This is a family of 13 proteins, which binds to phospholipids in a calcium-dependent manner. Osteosarcoma cell line (MG-63) is a transformed cell that has many characteristics of the differentiated cell, such as a considerable serum dependency in its growth rate. Usi...

The subcellular distribution of early endosomes is affected by the annexin II2p11(2) complex

The tyrosine kinase substrate annexin II is a member of a multigene family of Ca2+ and lipid-binding proteins which have been implicated in a number of membrane-related events. We have analyzed the subcellular distribution of annexin II in relation to other cellular components in normal and specifically manipulated MDCK cells. In a polarized monolayer of MDCK cells annexin II and its cellular l...
