چکیده
The multi-frequency time-division multiple access (MF-TDMA) has become general in satellite communications. In this paper, we developed a simulation model for MF-TDMA-based satellite networks using OPNET simulator. With the simulator, we evaluated the efficient use of DAMA schemes using MF-TDMA compared to PAMA based on FDMA.

In this paper, we address the problem of providing guaranteed quality of service (QoS) channels over multifrequency time division multiple access (MF-TDMA) systems that employ DPSK with multiple modulation modes. The two QoS measures that we consider are the bit error rate (BER) and the data rate. We treat the data rate as a deterministic QoS measure, and the BER as a statistical QoS measure. O...

متن کاملBasic capacity calculation methods and benchmarking for MF-TDMA and MF-CDMA communication satellites
This paper introduces basic capacity calculation methods for circuit switched, multiple-beam, low earth orbit (LEO) communication satellites that use MF-TDMA and MF-CDMA schemes. Capacity is defined as the number of simultaneous duplex channels that a satellite can support for a given data rate and bit error rate. This paper integrates the bandwidth limit and the power limit on capacity, and de...
متن کاملModelling And Detection of Rain Attenuation For MF-TDMA Satellite Networks Utilizing Fade Mitigation Techniques
Whilst the ability to characterise the on-average monthly or yearly performance of systems without countermeasures is well determined, such methods are not efficient at Ka-band and above. Optimal fade mitigation technique design requires statistically and dynamically correct attenuation time-series. Optimal allocation of communication resources requires consideration of the channel statistics a...
