چکیده

A finite element modeling of tire using Ansys is used to analyze the free vibration of radial pneumatic tires. The natural frequencies and mode shapes of pneumatic tires are investigated. The effects of some parameters such inflation pressure, tread pattern, ply-angles and thickness of belts on the natural frequency of tires are investigated. Keywords— natural frequency, inflation pressure, treads pattern, ply-angles and thickness of belt.

Shell Mesh Based FE Analysis for Free Vibration Analysis of Radial Pneumatic Tire

The natural frequencies and mode shapes of pneumatic tires are predicted using a geometrically accurate, three-dimensional finite element modeling. Tire rubber materials and cord layers are represented independently using “shell element” available in COSMOS. The effects of some physical parameters such as the inflation pressure tread pattern, thickness of belts and ply angles to the natural ...

Evaluating the Effect of Dissipated Viscous Energy of a Rolling Tire on Stress, Strain and Deformation Fields Using an Efficient 2D FE Analysis

The dissipated energy from periodic deformation is regarded as the main reason for heat generation and temperature rise inside the tire domain. However, the mechanical behavior of rubber parts is highly temperature dependent. In most performed investigations, the influence of thermal effects on stress/ deformation fields of pneumatic tires is ignored and just temperature distribution is conside...

On the Analysis of FGM Beams: FEM with Innovative Element

This paper aims at presenting a new efficient element for free vibration and instability analysis of Axially Functionally Graded Materials (FGMs) non-prismatic beams using Finite Element Method (FEM). Using concept of Basic Displacement Functions (BDFs), two- node element extends  to three-node element for obtaining much more exact results using FEM. First, BDFs are introduced and computed usin...

Free and Forced Vibration Analysis of Functionally Graded Material Cylinders by a Mesh-Free Method

In this paper, free and forced vibration analysis of functionally graded material cylinders was carried out by mesh-free and finite element method. In this analysis, MLS shape functions are used for approximation of displacement field in the weak form of motion equation and essential boundary conditions are imposed by transformation method. Resulted set of differential equations are solved usin...

Modeling Tire Blow-out in Roadside Hardware Simulations Using Ls-dyna

Often when vehicles interact with roadside hardware like guardrails, bridge rails and curbs, the interaction between the roadside hardware and the tire causes the tire to lose its air seal and "blow-out". Once the seal between the rim and rubber tire is lost, the tire deflates. The behavior of the deflated tire is much different than the behavior of an inflated tire such that when this behavior...
