چکیده

Given a graph G with p vertices, q edges and a positive integer k, a k-sequentially additive labeling of G is an assignment of distinct numbers k, k + 1, k + 2, . . . , k + p + q − 1 to the p + q elements of G so that every edge uv of G receives the sum of the numbers assigned to the vertices u and v. A graph which admits such an assignment to its elements is called a k-sequentially additive graph. In this paper, we give an upper bound for k with respect to which the given graph may possibly be k-sequentially additive using the independence number of the graph. Also, we prove a variety of results on k-sequentially additive graphs, including the number of isolated vertices to be added to a complete graph with four or more vertices to ∗Present address: School of ITMS, University of Ballarat, P.O. Simply sequentially additive labelings of 2-regular graphs

We conjecture that any 2-regular simple graph has an SSA labeling. We provide several special cases to support our conjecture. Most of our constructions are based on Skolem sequences and on an extension of it. We establish a connection between simply sequentially additive labelings of 2-regular graphs and ordered graceful labelings of spiders.

A characterization of shellable and sequentially Cohen-Macaulay

We consider a class of hypergraphs called hypercycles and we show that a hypercycle $C_n^{d,alpha}$ is shellable or sequentially the Cohen--Macaulay if and only if $nin{3,5}$. Also, we characterize Cohen--Macaulay hypercycles. These results are hypergraph versions of results proved for cycles in graphs.

Complement of Special Chordal Graphs and Vertex Decomposability

In this paper, we introduce a subclass of chordal graphs which contains $d$-trees and show that their complement are vertex decomposable and so is shellable and sequentially Cohen-Macaulay.

On the edge-connectivity of C_4-free graphs

Let $G$ be a connected graph of order $n$ and minimum degree $delta(G)$.The edge-connectivity $lambda(G)$ of $G$ is the minimum numberof edges whose removal renders $G$ disconnected. It is well-known that$lambda(G) leq delta(G)$,and if $lambda(G)=delta(G)$, then$G$ is said to be maximally edge-connected. A classical resultby Chartrand gives the sufficient condition $delta(G) geq frac{n-1}{2}$fo...
