چکیده

Hybrid materials made of organic and inorganic molecules have been used for millions of years in nature, as well as driving the modern technology age for the past few thousand years. The nature of the interactions that occur between the organic and inorganic layers determine the final properties that the hybrid material will have and are of great importance. The interface properties, occurring on the nanoscale, directly affect the overall properties of the composite material. In this paper I will review the recent work on the subject of organic and inorganic interfaces, with a focus on their properties. Additionally I will review current and future applications of hybrid materials that will be taking advantage of nanomaterial properties.

Effect of TiO2 Nanofiber Density on Organic-Inorganic Based Hybrid Solar Cells (RESEARCH NOTE)

Abstract In this work, a comparative study of hybrid solar cells based on P3HT and TiO2 nanofibers was accomplished. Electrospinning, a low cost production method for large area nanofibrous films, was employed to fabricate the organic-inorganic hybrid solar cells based on poly (3-hexylthiophene) and TiO2 nanofibers. The performance of the hybrid solar cells was analyzed for four density levels ...

Understanding and controlling organic-inorganic interfaces in mesostructured hybrid photovoltaic materials.

The chemical compositions and structures of organic-inorganic interfaces in mesostructurally ordered conjugated polymer-titania nanocomposites are shown to have a predominant influence on their photovoltaic properties. Such interfaces can be controlled by using surfactant structure-directing agents (SDAs) with different architectures and molecular weights to promote contact between the highly h...

Electrical doping: the impact on interfaces of π-conjugated molecular films

Abstract Organic–metal and organic–organic interfaces play crucial roles in charge injection in, and transport through, organic thin film devices. Their electronic structure, chemical properties and electrical behaviour must be fully characterized and understood if engineering and control of organic devices are to reach the levels attained for inorganic semiconductor devices. Recent fundamental...
