An association of plant cell microtubules and virus particles.

چکیده
Microtubules are closely associated with tubules containing virus particles in leaf cells infected with bean pod mottle virus or cowpea mosaic virus. The similar orientation and apparent continuity suggest that cores of tubules with virus particles are actually microtubules. It is suggested that microtubules may be involved in the intraand intercellular movement of viral components and in the assembly of virus particles as well as being a factor in the reaction of a plant to virus infection.

Actin cytoskeleton is involved in targeting of a viral Hsp70 homolog to the cell periphery.
The cell-to-cell movement of plant viruses involves translocation of virus particles or nucleoproteins to and through the plasmodesmata (PDs). As we have shown previously, the movement of the Beet yellows virus requires the concerted action of five viral proteins including a homolog of cellular approximately 70-kDa heat shock proteins (Hsp70h). Hsp70h is an integral component of the virus parti...
متن کاملTobacco mosaic virus movement protein associates with the cytoskeleton in tobacco cells.
Tobacco mosaic virus movement protein P30 complexes with genomic viral RNA for transport through plasmodesmata, the plant intercellular connections. Although most research with P30 focuses on its targeting to and gating of plasmodesmata, the mechanisms of P30 intracellular movement to plasmodesmata have not been defined. To examine P30 intracellular localization, we used tobacco protoplasts, wh...
متن کاملTherapeutic potential of Paclitaxel against COVID-19
The coronavirus disease-2019(COVID-19) was reported in Wuhan, China, in late December 2019 and soon became the most serious global health challenge due to high rate of human-to-human transmission. The severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2), is a single-stranded RNA virus and belongs to the large Coronaviridae family. Paclitaxel, an antineoplastic drug extracted from the Tax...
متن کاملAssociation between mycosis fungoides and human herpes virus 8: A case-control study
Background: Mycosis fungoides is the most common type of primary cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. Its etiopathogenesis, despite numerous studies, remains unclear. Environmental, viral, and genetic factors have been proposed as its potential etiologic factors. In recent years, viral agents of herpes virus family such as human herpes virus 8 (HHV-8) have been noticed. Objective: The aim of this study wa...
متن کاملModified Couple Stress Theory for Vibration of Embedded Bioliquid-Filled Microtubules under Walking a Motor Protein Including Surface Effects
Microtubules (MTs) are fibrous and tube-like cell substructures exist in cytoplasm of cells which play a vital role in many cellular processes. Surface effects on the vibration of bioliquid MTs surrounded by cytoplasm is investigated in this study. The emphasis is placed on the effect of the motor protein motion on the MTs. The MT is modeled as an orthotropic beam and the surrounded cytoplasm i...
