چکیده
RESULTS: Patients undergoing implant-based reconstruction, subjected to the new protocol, demonstrated a decreased length of stay. Utilizing standardized surveys, improvements in pain control were demonstrated with a percentile ranking change from 88 to 99 percentile, pain management summary score improvement from 62 to 99 percentile, and improvement in pain control ranking from 27 to 99 percentile.

Metopic suture in fetuses with Apert syndrome at 22-27 weeks of gestation.
OBJECTIVES To examine the possible association of skull deformity and the development of the cranial sutures in fetuses with Apert syndrome. METHODS Three-dimensional (3D) ultrasound was used to examine the metopic and coronal sutures in seven fetuses with Apert syndrome at 22-27 weeks of gestation. The gap between the frontal bones in the transverse plane of the head at the level of the cavu...
متن کاملThree-dimensional sonographic description of abnormal metopic suture in second- and third-trimester fetuses.
OBJECTIVE To describe patterns of abnormal development of the metopic suture in association with fetal malformations during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. METHODS This was a cross-sectional study of the frontal bones and metopic suture in 11 fetuses at 17-32 weeks of gestation. Cases were selected because there were obvious abnormalities in the metopic sutures. In each case, a ...
متن کاملSurgical treatment of craniosynostosis: outcome analysis of 250 consecutive patients.
OBJECTIVE Surgery for craniosynostosis has evolved rapidly over the past two decades, with increased emphasis on early, extensive operations. Older published series may not accurately reflect more recent experience. Our study was designed to analyze outcome in a large series of consecutive patients treated recently at a single center. METHODS We reviewed 250 consecutive patients who underwent...
متن کاملChildren with Metopic Ridge.
AIM The premature closure of the metopic suture results in metopic synostosis, also known as trigonocephaly. However, there is a group of children who have only a frontal metopic ridge, obvious with inspection and fingertip palpation, without the clinical features of trigonocephaly. This study aims to report a group of children with metopic ridge with a special emphasis on the definition and th...
متن کاملQuantitative Analysis of Developmental Process of Cranial Suture in Korean Infants
OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to elucidate the anatomical development of physiologic suture closure processes in infants using three dimensional reconstructed computed tomography (CT). METHODS A consecutive series of 243 infants under 12 months of age who underwent three dimensional CT were included in this study. Four major cranial sutures (sagittal, coronal, lambdoidal and metopic...
