چکیده

With single-electron tunneling (SET) technology it is possible to build electronic circuits with extreme low power properties. These SET circuits must therefore operate in the single electronics (current) regime. To simulate SET circuits in this regime, a SPICE (Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis) model has been written In contrast to, the prescriptions in the so-called Orthodox theory of single-electronics the SPICE model explores the discrete character of the tunnel current and the tunnel condition. In this paper known SET circuits are simulated using this SPICE model and verified with the Orthodox theory of SET. The results are also compared with a famous SET circuit simulator Simon

Spice Compatible Model for Multiple Coupled Nonuniform Transmission Lines Application in Transient Analysis of VLSI Circuits

An SPICE compatible model for multiple coupled nonuniform lossless transmission lines (TL's) is presented. The method of the modeling is based on the steplines approximation of the nonuniform TLs and quasi-TEM assumptions. Using steplines approximation the system of coupled nonuniform TLs is subdivided into arbitrary large number of coupled uniform lines (steplines) with different characteristi...

Design metal-dot based QCA circuits using SPICE model

This paper proposes a SPICE model development methodology for quantum-dot cellular automata (QCA) cells and presents a SPICE model for QCA cells. The model is validated by simulating the basic logic gates such as inverter and majority voter. The proposed model makes it possible to design and simulate QCA combinational circuits and hybrid circuits of QCA and other NANO devices using SPICE. In th...

SPICE simulation of single - electron electronics compared to measurement results

In this article three well known singleelectron tunnelling (SET) circuits are discussed. Both measurement results and simulation results on the three SET circuits are shown. The simulation results were obtained using a SPICE model for a single SET junction. The experimental data from SET circuits is used for validation purposes of the SPICE model. The SPICE model performed good on all experimen...

SPICE-compatible modelling technique for simulating floating-gate transistors

A technique is introduced to enable the simulation of floating-gate transistors within standard analogue circuit simulators, such as SPICE. This technique can be used in all types of circuit simulations, ranging from DC sweeps to charge-modification scenarios. The technique is then used to simulate several analogue circuits, the results of which show strong agreement with identical circuits fab...
