Copyright ©NADIS 2017 Introduction In the first paper of this series, emphasis was given to the breakdown in a group of pigs with a new disease causing an acute outbreak of pneumonia and other respiratory ailments. Here, the aim is to concentrate on more long standing (chronic) enzootic (endemic) disease, which arguably, in the UK pig industry, produces even greater financial loss than sudden one off outbreaks, being a very common problem.
