Optical Flow from Local Phase

Optical flow computation has already been done using a wide variety of methods but still there are several of sources of error that cause inexact results. If the monogenic phase vector is used instead of the intensity, the computation of the optical flow becomes more robust against changes in lighting, thus the influence of one source of error can be diminished. In this project three existing methods for optical flow computation have been changed by substituting the intensity constraint with the monogenic phase vector. These methods were the method of Horn and Schunck, a combined method of Horn and Schunck and Lucas and Kanade (CLG) and a method using a non-linearised constancy assumption.
