چکیده

Gain scheduling controllers are considered in this paper. The gain scheduling problem where the scheduling parameter vector θ cannot be measured directly, but needs to be estimated is considered. An estimation of the scheduling vector θ has been derived by using the Youla parameterization. The use of the Youla parameterization in connection with estimation of θ directly gives a validation method for the estimate of θ. The validation part is an integrated part of the estimation method. This will make it possible to estimate the parameter vector θ very precisely. This is important in connection with H∞ gain scheduling controllers.

Robust Fixed-order Gain-scheduling Autopilot Design using State-space Stability-Preserving Interpolation

In this paper, a robust autopilot is proposed using stable interpolation based on Youla parameterization. The most important condition of stable interpolation between local controllers is the preservation of stability so that each local controller can ensure stability for an open neighborhood around a nominal point. The proposed design used fixed-order robust controller with parameter-dependent...

Tuning Controllers using the Dual Youla Parameterization

This paper describes the application of the Youla parameterization of all stabilizing controllers and the dual Youla parameterization of all systems stabilized by a given controller in connection with tuning of controllers. In the uncertain case, it is shown that the use of the Youla parameterization will allow us to optimize both the model and the controller.

An Alternative to the Youla Parameterization for H∞ Controller Design

All H∞ controllers of a SISO LTI system are parameterized thanks to the relation between the Bounded Real Lemma and the Positive Real Lemma. This new parameterization shares the features of Youla parameterization, namely the convexity of H∞ norm constraints for the closed-loop transfer functions. However, by contrast to Youla parameterization, it can deal with any controller order and any contr...

Multi-objective Synthesis Using LMI Formulations for Application of the Cutting Plane Algorithm

The problem of designing a controller to meet different specifications or deciding that no such controller exists is addressed in this paper by linking three types of tools: the Youla parameterization allows searching for a controller in a convex set; formulations using Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMI) are proposed for different practical specifications; the corresponding convex problem is solv...

Bumpless Transfer Between Observer-Based Gain Scheduled Controllers

This paper deals with bumpless transfer between a number of observer-based controllers in a gain scheduling architecture. Linear observer-based controllers are designed for a number of linear approximations of a nonlinear system in a set of operating points, and gain scheduling control can subsequently be achieved by interpolating between each controller. The Youla-Jabr-Bongiorno-Kucera (YJBK) ...
