Designing Cooperative Embedded Systems Using A Multiagent Approach : The Diamond Method
Multiagent systems are well suited to specify requirements for open physical complex systems. However, up to now, no method allows to build software/hardware hybrid multiagent systems. This paper presents an original method for designing physical multiagent systems. It advocates a basic multiagent phase able to tackle functionnal and organizational issues, associated to a componential phase for...
متن کاملAbout some specificities of embedded multiagent system design
Multiagent systems (MAS) satisfy to design requirements for open physical complex systems. However, up to now, no method allows to build software/hardware hybrid multiagent systems : we introduce the DIAMOND method.
متن کاملDesigning Wireless Intrumentation System with the Diamond Method
Designing wireless instrumentation systems requires to work with two levels: the individual level (the sensors) versus the social level (the whole system). We introduce the DIAMOND method which allows to design open embedded complex systems using a multiagent approach.
متن کاملA Case Study in Hardware-Software Codesign of Distributed Systems - Vehicle Parking Management System
Hardware-software codesign of distributed systems is a more challenging task than that of centralized embedded systems. Each phase of codesign, such as copartitioning, cosynthesis, cosimulation, and coverification, must take into account physical restrictions imposed by the distributed nature of such systems. Although codesign of distributed systems is more complex, yet many common parts of the...
متن کاملDESC: A Hardware-Software Codesign Methodology for Distributed Embedded Systems
The hardware-software codesign of distributed embedded systems is a more challenging task, because each phase of codesign, such as copartitioning, cosynthesis, cosimulation, and coverification must consider the physical restrictions imposed by the distributed characteristics of such systems. Distributed systems often contain several similar parts for which design reuse techniques can be applied...
