A Cascadic Alternating Krylov Subspace Image Restoration Method
نویسندگان
چکیده
This paper describes a cascadic image restoration method which at each level applies a two-way alternating denoising and deblurring procedure. Denoising is carried out with a wavelet transform, which also provides an estimate of the noise-level. The latter is used to determine a suitable regularization parameter for the Krylov subspace iterative deblurring method. The cascadic multilevel method proceeds from coarse to fine image resolution, using suitable restriction and prolongation operators. The choice of the latter is critical for the performance of the multilevel method. We introduce a special deblurring prolongation procedure based on TV regularization. Computed examples demonstrate the effectiveness of the method proposed for determining image restorations of high quality.

Alternating Krylov subspace image restoration methods
Alternating methods for image deblurring and denoising have recently received considerable attention. The simplest of these methods are two-way methods that restore contaminated images by alternating between deblurring and denoising. This paper describes Krylov subspace-based two-way alternating iterative methods that allow the application of regularization operators different from the identity...
متن کاملMajorization-minimization generalized Krylov subspace methods for lp-lq optimization applied to image restoration
A new majorization-minimization framework for lp-lq image restoration is presented. The solution is sought in a generalized Krylov subspace that is build up during the solution process. Proof of convergence to a stationary point of the minimized lp-lq functional is provided for both convex and nonconvex problems. Computed examples illustrate that high-quality restorations can be determined with...
متن کاملSylvester Tikhonov - regularization methods in image restoration
In this paper, we consider large-scale linear discrete ill-posed problems where the right-hand side contains noise. Regularization techniques such as Tikhonov regularization are needed to control the effect of the noise on the solution. In many applications such as in image restoration the coefficient matrix is given as a Kronecker product of two matrices and then Tikhonov regularization proble...
متن کاملA Generalized Krylov Subspace Method for ℓp-ℓq Minimization
This paper presents a new efficient approach for the solution of the lp-lq minimization problem based on the application of successive orthogonal projections onto generalized Krylov subspaces of increasing dimension. The subspaces are generated according to the iteratively reweighted least-squares strategy for the approximation of lp/lq-norms by weighted l2-norms. Computed image restoration exa...
متن کاملADMM in Krylov Subspace and Its Application to Total Variation Restoration of Spatially Variant Blur
In this talk, we present an efficient method for a convex optimization problem involving a large non-symmetric and non-Toeplitz matrix. The proposed method is an instantiation of ADMM (Alternating Direction Method of Multipliers) applied in Krylov subspaces. Our method shows a significant advantage in computational time for convex optimization problems involving general matrices of large size. ...
