Arbitrary decay rate for two connected strings with joint anti-damping by boundary output feedback

چکیده
In this paper, we are concerned with the boundary stabilization of two connected strings with middle joint anti-damping for which all eigenvalues of the (control) free system are located on the right complex plane. We first design an explicit state feedback controller to achieve exponential stability for the closedloop system. Consequently, we design the output feedback by using infinite-dimensional observer. The backstepping approach is adopted in investigation. It is shown that by using one boundary stabilizer only, the output feedback can make the closed-loop system exponentially stable with arbitrary decay rate. © 2010 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Boundary Controllers and Observers for the Linearized Schrödinger Equation
We consider a problem of stabilization of the linearized Schrödinger equation using boundary actuation and measurements. We propose two different control designs. First, a simple proportional collocated boundary controller is shown to exponentially stabilize the system. However, the decay rate of the closed-loop system cannot be prescribed. The second, full-state feedback boundary control desig...
متن کاملOutput-feedback adaptive control of a wave PDE with boundary anti-damping
We develop an adaptive output-feedback controller for a wave PDE in one dimension with actuation on one boundary and with an unknown anti-damping term on the opposite boundary. This model is representative of a torsional stick–slip instability in drillstrings in deep oil drilling, as well as of various acoustic instabilities. The key feature of the proposed controller is that it requires only t...
متن کاملEnergy decay of dissipative plate equations with memory-type boundary conditions
In this paper we consider a plate equation with internal feedback and viscoelastic damping localized on a part of the boundary. Without imposing restrictive assumptions on the time-dependent frictional damping, we establish an explicit and general decay rate result that allows a wider class of relaxation functions and generalizes previous results existing in the literature.
متن کاملDecay Rate for a Viscoelastic Equation with Strong Damping and Acoustic Boundary Conditions
This paper is concerned with a nonlinear viscoelastic equation with strong damping: ( ) ( ) 0 , d 0, t t tt tt t u u u u g t s u x s s u ρ − ∆ − ∆ + − ∆ − ∆ = ∫ . The objective of the present paper is to provide some results on the long-time behavior to this equation with acoustic boundary conditions. By using the assumptions on the relaxation function due to Tatar [1], we show an arbitrary rat...

Nowadays, LCL filters utilization to suppress the grid-connected inverter switching harmonics is expanding and various methods such as capacitor current active damping scheme could be investigated to damp out these harmonics. However, the computational delays including control system, and PWM switching delays have significant effect on damping system stability. In most of LCL filter parameter d...
