Space-Time and Higher Dimensional Modeling for Animation

چکیده
There are limitations to the current BRep based “model then animate” paradigm when animating time-dependent (dynamic) objects. This paper describes an approach to modeling dynamic objects directly in space-time or even higher dimensional space. The use of the function representation (FRep) is proposed due to the ease with which it handles higher dimensions. After creating a multidimensional FRep object, it then needs to be mapped to “multimedia” space. In the case of animation this means at least one geometric coordinate must be mapped to a dynamic coordinate (time). A case study is presented to explain the technique and demonstrate its use in the animated metamorphosis between several shapes of

Keyframe animation is a common technique to generate animations of deformable characters and other soft bodies. With spline interpolation, however, it can be difficult to achieve secondary motion effects such as plausible dynamics when there are thousands of degrees of freedom to animate. Physical methods can provide more realism with less user effort, but it is challenging to apply them to qui...
متن کاملNumerical Solution of Space-time Fractional two-dimensional Telegraph Equation by Shifted Legendre Operational Matrices
Fractional differential equations (FDEs) have attracted in the recent years a considerable interest due to their frequent appearance in various fields and their more accurate models of systems under consideration provided by fractional derivatives. For example, fractional derivatives have been used successfully to model frequency dependent damping behavior of many viscoelastic materials. They a...

Motion exists in four dimensions, since it is defined in both a threedimensional space and in a time. Consequently, to describe motion one needs to capture time, which has been accomplished in timebased media, like film and animation. We present an innovative approach that enables modeling a static three-dimensional representation of time and motion. We named it Futuristic Modeling, to honor th...

Around the word, traffic growth is causing growing air and noise pollution. Noise levels in a given area are affected by traffic on the streets as well as effective factors, including existing infrastructure and industrial centers, and so on. The purpose of this research is to model and estimate the amount of acoustic emission in the streets of Tehran's third district, using the 3D spatial info...
متن کاملEfficient Approximation Algorithms for Point-set Diameter in Higher Dimensions
We study the problem of computing the diameter of a set of $n$ points in $d$-dimensional Euclidean space for a fixed dimension $d$, and propose a new $(1+varepsilon)$-approximation algorithm with $O(n+ 1/varepsilon^{d-1})$ time and $O(n)$ space, where $0 < varepsilonleqslant 1$. We also show that the proposed algorithm can be modified to a $(1+O(varepsilon))$-approximation algorithm with $O(n+...
