چکیده

Estrogen receptor (ER) and progesterone receptor (PR) assays were performed by solid-phase enzyme immunoassays (Abbott) on low-speed (2600 x g) and high-speed (100,000 x g) supernates of breast-cancer homogenates. The results were similar, indicating that ultracentrifugation is not essential for ER and PR assays with the Abbott kit.

Relation between Estrogen and Progesterone Receptor Status with p53, Ki67 and Her-2 Markers in Patients with Breast Cancer

Background: Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, containing approximately one third of all illnesses in women. Assessment of molecular markers is valuable in predicting the outcome of disease and decision making for optimal treatment. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between estrogen and progesterone receptors with Her-2, Ki67, P53, and clinicopathologica...

Comparison of Monoclonal Antibodies and Tritiated Ligands for Estrogen Receptor Assays in 241 Breast Cancer Cytosols1

Estrogen receptor determinations have been performed on 241 cytosols from 160 breast cancer rumors using both radioactive ligands (|'II|estradiol, |3H|R2858) and monoclonal antibodies (Abbott ER-EIA Kit) in order to compare the two methods and to evaluate the clinical useful ness of the new immunological, simplified assay. Intraand interassay reproducibility of the enzyme immunoassay (EIA) meth...

The hormonal milieu in primary breast cancer: A correlation between steroid receptors and serum estradiol, progesterone and prolactin

Background: The female breast is subjected to a lifetime of hormonal controls, whose effect is evident at the time of menarche and during the menstrual cycle, pregnancy and lactation. Studies have reported multiple risk factors for breast cancer, some of which are a reflection of hormonally mediated events. The steroid receptors are also served as prognostic factors for evaluating status of mal...

Effect of Extremely Low–frequency Electromagnetic Field on Apoptosis Iinduction and Expression of Estrogen Receptor, Progesterone Receptor, and ERBB2 in BT-474 Cells

Introduction: Breast cancer is the most common cancer and the first cause of cancer-related death in women worldwide. Although admirable achievements have been made in finding new therapeutic interventions, introducing efficient approaches with the least side effect is still undoubtedly demanded. Exposure to extremely-low frequency electromagnetic field (ELF-EMF) with specific parameters of fre...
