A MIMO Correlation Matrix based Metric for Characterizing Non-Stationarity
نویسنده
چکیده
A metric for characterizing spatially nonstationary channels is introduced. It is based on MIMO correlation matrices and measures the distance between the correlation matrices estimated at different times to characterize how strong the spatial structure of the channel has changed. By analyzing synthetic and measured MIMO data it is shown that the introduced metric is useful for characterization of spatial changes in non-stationary channels. This will be important for spatial based algorithms that are sensitive to changes in the spatial structure of the channel.

MIMO Channel Reconstruction from Lower Dimensional Multiple Antenna Measurements
A method for reconstructing multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) channel correlation matrices from lower dimensional channel measurements is presented. Exploiting the symmetry of correlation matrix structure enables reproducing higher dimensional MIMO channel matrices from available lower order measurements. This leads to practically important applications allowing prediction of higher dimensi...

Channel estimation is an essential task to fully exploit the advantages of the massive MIMO systems. In this paper, we propose a semi-blind downlink channel estimation method for massive MIMO system. We suggest a new modeling for the channel matrix subspace. Based on the low-rankness property, we have prposed an algorithm to estimate the channel matrix subspace. In the next step, using o...
متن کاملPerformance of Imaging Receivers using Convex Lens in Indoor MIMO VLC Systems
In multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) indoor visible light communication (VLC) systems that employ nonimaging receivers, the bit error performance is degraded due to high spatial correlation. Imaging receivers can mitigate this degradation by concentrating the light energy, thereby reducing the correlation among the elements in the channel matrix. In this paper, we investigate the performanc...
متن کاملNon-Asymptotic Analysis of Random Vector Channels
The analysis of large random vector channels, particularly multiple-input-multiple-output (MIMO) channels, has primarily been established in the asymptotic regime, due to the intractability of characterizing the exact distribution of the objective performance metrics. This paper advocates a non-asymptotic approach that often results in more refined estimates on the statistical uncertainty of va...
متن کاملStationarity and Regularity Concepts for Set Systems
The paper investigates stationarity and regularity concepts for set systems in a normed space. Several primal and dual constants characterizing these properties are introduced and the relations between the constants are established. The equivalence between the regularity property and the strong metric inequality is established. The extended extremal principle is formulated. keywords: nonsmooth ...
