چکیده

Aminoethanol is a predicted precursor to the amino acid alanine in the interstellar medium and is therefore of great interest for observational studies. However, previous work involving the rotational spectrum of this molecule is limited to centimeter wavelengths and additional laboratory work is necessary to support astronomical heterodyne spectroscopy. This work presents the Doppler-limited rotational spectrum of aminoethanol measured in selected regions between 72 and 305GHz. Measurements of ground state and m27 transitions have been extended up to J 1⁄4 51 and J 1⁄4 43, respectively. Additional rotational transitions were assigned for the m25, m26, m25 þ m27, 2m27 and m26 þ m27 hot bands, resulting in improved rotational and centrifugal distortion constants for these states. 2003 Elsevier Science (USA). We describe an experimental and quantum chemical study for the accurate determination of the conformational space of small molecular systems governed by intramolecular non-covalent interactions. The model systems investigated belong to the biological relevant aminoalcohol's family, and include 2-amino-1-phenylethanol, 2-methylamino-1-phenylethanol, noradrenaline, adrenaline 2-aminoethanol, and ...

ROTATIONAL ASSIGNMENT OF NEW BANDS IN THE NO , EXCITATION SPECTRUM IN THE SPECTRAL RANGE OF 15600 cm TO 15633 cm

Sub-Doppler excitation spectroscopy in a collimated cold supersonic beam of 5% NO seeded in argon has been performed with a spectral resolution down to 10 MHz for four vibronic bands within the perturbed B ?X A system of NO . The rotational temperature of about 15 K achieved by adiabatic cooling allows the separation of closely lying vibronic bands which overlap in absorption spectra ...

Millimeter-Wave Spectrum of the NO Dimer

The pure rotational spectrum of the NO dimer, (14N16O)2, has been studied in the 225-400 GHz millimeter-wave region by means of direct absorption in a supersonic jet expansion. Previously, only 4 rotational transitions of (NO)2 had been measured in the microwave region. To these, we have added 66 new millimeter-wave transitions with values of J ranging from 4 to 16 and of Ka from 2 to 7. Most t...

Costa 2 . 1 Millimeter - Wave Frequency Measurement of the Rydberg Constant

The Rydberg constant, R., relates the wavelengths of the spectrum of atomic hydrogen to practical laboratory units. As such, R. is the natural unit for measurements of many atomic properties. Recent advances in optical wavelength metrology have enabled experiments using laser spectroscopy to measure R. with accuracy approaching 2 parts in 1011.4 While R. remains the most accurately measured fun...
