Computational Complexity of Simple P Systems

چکیده
We introduce a new class of membrane systems called simple P systems, and study its computational complexity using the classical theory. We start by presenting the knapsack problem and analyzing its space and time complexities. Then we study the computational complexity of simple P systems by considering the static allocation of resources enabling the parallel application of the rules. We show that the problem of allocating resources for simple P systems is NP-complete by reducing it to the knapsack problem. Thus we express the computational complexity of this class of P systems in terms of classical complexity theory.

Adaptive Subcarrier Assignment and Power Distribution in Multiuser OFDM Systems with Proportional Data Rate Requirement
A low complexity dynamic subcarrier and power allocation methodology for downlink communication in an OFDM-based multiuser environment is developed. The problem of maximizing overall capacity with constraints on total power consumption, bit error rate and data rate proportionality among users requiring different QOS specifications is formulated. Assuming perfect knowledge of the instantaneo...
متن کاملVibration Analysis of Global Near-regular Mechanical Systems
Some near-regular mechanical systems involve global deviations from their corresponding regular system. Despite extensive research on vibration analysis (eigensolution) of regular and local near-regular mechanical systems, the literature on vibration analysis of global near-regular mechanical systems is scant. In this paper, a method for vibration analysis of such systems was developed using Kr...
متن کاملIncreasing the Performance of OFDM Systems by PAPR Reduction in PTS Technique using Election Optimization Algorithm
Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) is a useful technology in wireless communications that provides high-rate data transmission in multipath fading channels. The advantages of OFDM systems are the high spectral efficiency and strong resistance to frequency selective fading. In OFDM systems, a large number of sub-carriers are used to modulate the symbols causing the time-domain OFD...
متن کاملA new multi-step ABS model to solve full row rank linear systems
ABS methods are direct iterative methods for solving linear systems of equations, where the i-th iteration satisfies the first i equations. Thus, a system of m equations is solved in at most m ABS iterates. In 2004 and 2007, two-step ABS methods were introduced in at most [((m+1))/2] steps to solve full row rank linear systems of equations. These methods consuming less space, are more compress ...
متن کاملConvergence of P!=NP Toward P=NP in Higher Order of Observabilities
There is a cognitive limit in Humans. This cognitive limit has played a decisive role in almost all fields including Computer Sciences. The cognitive limit replicated in computer sciences is responsible for inherent Computational Complexity. If certain conditions are met then computational complexity starts decreasing, even sometime it does not appears at all. Very simple mechanical computing s...
