Angular Spectroradiometric Field Measurements for Precision Farming Purposes

چکیده

Precision farming requires information about the present status of the vegetation canopy. Remote sensing products can provide such information. The general investigation approach is based on the evaluation of remotely sensed data by the inversion of physical backscatter models and coupled growth models. The presented paper describes the measurement strategy, developed for the establishment of a spectral database required for the adaptation and the optimisation of the backscatter models. According to the specific demand and limitation framework of precision farming, the measurement arrangement allows the approximation of the Bidirectional Reflectance Distribution Function (BRDF). Measurement results are cited and the measurement strategy is discussed. The hypothesis that the anisotropy behaviour of the canopy reflectance varies at different useful water storage capacity sites in a plot is tested.
