Role of Neutrophil Lymphocyte Ratio at Preoperative Adenomysosis Diagnosis

چکیده
The aim of this study was to determine the predictive value of neutrophil lymphocyte ratio in the diagnosis of the adenomyosis. Seventy two 72 perimenopausal patients who underwent hysterectomy and diagnosed as having any additional pathology except adenomyosis according to the histopathological evaluation of the surgical specimens constituted the study group. One hundred 1OO perimenopausal patients who underwent hysterectomy due to reasons and had normal findings without any organic pathology (like uterine descensus, dysfunctional uterine bleeding) constituted the control group. Parameters saved in from patient medical records for each case were as following: age, obstetric characteristics, hemoglobin, Neutrophil, lymphocyte, platelet, Mean Platelet Volume, Follicle stimulating hormone, cancer antigen 125, neutrophil lymphocyte ratio. There were no statistically significant differences between the age, neutrophil, lymphocyte, platelet, FSH, Ca125 values. NLR was also higher in the study group (2.3±1.4) compared to the control group (2.1±1.0), but this difference was not statistically significant.

Prognostic Value of Neutrophil to Lymphocyte Ratio on Pathologic Findings of Transrectal Ultrasonography Guided Biopsy of Prostate
Background and Objective: Prostate cancer is considered as one of the most common malignancies in males. Despite the decreasing trend during the past decade, the incidence continues to rise in adolescents worldwide. Recently, new emerging technologies beside TRUS-guided prostate biopsy were introduced and showed high potential in the diagnosis of prostate cancer. The current st...
متن کاملEosinopenia and Neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio as diagnostic tools in neonatal early onset sepsis -a single center observational study
Background and Objective: Neonatal sepsis is associated with high mortality and has a favourable outcome when recognized and treated in a timely manner. In resource-limited settings, there is a need for an affordable test with a short turnaround time for timely diagnosis of sepsis. The aim of this study was to find out the role of eosinopenia and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) in screenin...
متن کاملRelationship of preoperative neutrophil lymphocyte ratio with prognosis in gastrointestinal stromal tumors.
OBJECTIVE Gastrointestinal stromal tumors are believed to play a role in immunosuppression with their local effect. In some cancers with associated inflammation, an increased pretreatment neutrophil lymphocyte ratio is considered as an indicator of poor prognosis. The aim of our study was to assess the relationship of increased blood neutrophil lymphocyte ratio with disease prognosis in patient...

OBJECTIVE To predict the American Joint Cancer Committee tumor-node-metastasis stage in patients with papillary thyroid carcinoma by evaluating the relationship between the preoperative neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio and the tumor-node-metastasis stage. METHODS We retrospectively examined 161 patients with a diagnosis of papillary thyroid carcinoma. The Neutrophil-to-Lymphocyte Ratio was calc...
متن کاملComparing the mean platelet volume and the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio in children with bacterial pneumonia associated with and without pleural empyema
Background: Pneumonia is one of the severe infections in children, and empyema is one of its essential complications which causes more risk in affected children. Therefore, its early diagnosis is of great importance. Objective: This study aims to compare the value of two inflammatory markers including mean platelet volume (MPV) and neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) in children with pneumoni...
