چکیده

Nitric oxide (NO) has been implicated in large number of pathologies ad in normal physiological function of the brain. The aim of this study was to recognize the effect of Nitro-L-Arginine Methyl Ester mHC1 (NAME) and L-Arginine Ethyl Ester.HC1 (ARGININE) on reactivity of the central DA Dg receptor to agonist (Quinpirole) in rats. For this reason we have been used specific behavioural procedure such yawning behaviour which is mediated via central DA D3 receptors. Experiments were perform in adult male Wistar rats treated daily with quinpirole (0.05 mgkg IP) or vehicle (0.9% NaC1) for the first 11 days from birth to obtain of the central D3 receptor supersensitivity. NAME and ARGININE in different way modified response of the central DA receptor to quinpirole estimated by means yawning behavioural procedure.

Review Paper: Role of Nitric Oxide on Dopamine Release and Morphine-Dependency

The catastrophic effects of opioids use on public health and the economy are documented clearly in numerous studies. Repeated morphine administration can lead to either a decrease (tolerance) or an increase (sensitization) in its behavioral and rewarding effects. Morphine-induced sensitization is a major problem and plays an important role in abuse of the opioid drugs. Studies reported that mor...

Interaction of colchicine with nitric oxide in CA1 on the expression of drug seeking behavior induced by morphine

Introduction: According to previous studies, colchicine causes neuronal destruction and learning depression. In this project, effects of colchicine injection into the CA1 and interaction between colchicine and nitric oxide (NO) in this area on the expression of drug-seeking behavior were investigated. Methods: Wistar rats (250-300 g) were bilaterally cannulated at the CA1 area. Colchicine (2...

Influence of Nitric Oxide in the Central Amygdala on the Acquisition and Expression of Morphine-Induced Place Preference in Morphine Sensitized Rats

Effects of intra-central amygdala administration of L-arginine, a nitric oxide precursor, and NG-nitro-L-arginine methyl-ester (L NAME), a nitric oxide synthase inhibitor, on the morphine-induced sensitization and also on the expression of morphine-induced place conditioning in rats were studied. Subcutaneous (s.c.) administration of morphine (2.5, 5 and 7.5 mg/kg) induced place conditioning. R...

The nitric oxide-guanosine 3',5'-cyclic monophosphate pathway regulates dopamine efflux in the medial preoptic area and copulation in male rats.

Dopamine in the medial preoptic area (MPOA) plays a significant role in regulation of male copulation. One mediator of the MPOA dopamine level is nitric oxide. In the current study, we investigated the role of the nitric oxide-guanosine 3',5'-cyclic monophosphate (cGMP) pathway in the regulation of MPOA dopamine and copulation in male rats. The reverse-dialysis of a membrane-permeable analog, 8...

Redox interactions of nitric oxide with dopamine and its derivatives.

Nitric oxide (*NO) is a ubiquitous diffusible messenger in the central nervous system. *NO and derived nitrogen species may interact with catecholamines, thus, modifying not only its regulatory actions but also producing oxidants and free radicals that are likely to trigger toxic pathways in the nervous system. Oxidative pathways and chain oxidation reactions triggered by catecholamines may be ...
