The Replacement Sensor Model ( Rsm ) : Overview , Status , and Performance Summary
نویسنده
چکیده
RSM is a replacement sensor model that replaces with high fidelity all aspects of the original sensor model for virtually all imaging sensors. This includes the ground-to-image relationship, adjustability, and rigorous error propagation. RSM can do so for both satellite and airborne platforms as well as for different sensor modalities (optical and SAR). This paper provides a general introduction to RSM, its status relative to its initial development and subsequent documentation in the 2004 Manual of Photogrammetry, an overview of its image support data content, and a sampling of performance results. Continued adoption of RSM should provide substantial benefits to image providers as well as the general user community, including significant cost savings as well as superior performance.

Since incorrect excavations have resulted in extensive and irreparable financial and physical losses, therefore different drillings require having accurate information about the status of the infrastructures. Ubiquitous Geospatial Information System (UBGIS) as a new generation of Geospatial Information System (GIS) can be a good solution to avoid such problems. Augmented Reality (AR) is the ne...
متن کاملThe Geometrical Comparisons of RSM and RFM for FORMOSAT-2 Satellite Images
In this paper, we compare the geometrical performance between the rigorous sensor model (RSM) and rational function model (RFM) in the sensor modeling of FORMOSAT-2 satellite images. For the RSM, we provide a least squares collocation procedure to determine the precise orbits. As for the RFM, we analyze the model errors when a large amount of quasi-control points, which are derived from the sat...
