The three-body system V505 Sagittarii
نویسنده
چکیده
It is known that the period of the eclipsing binary V 505 Sgr changes, and that the changes can be explained at least partly by a light-time effect. The system is also known as a speckle binary. In this paper parameters of the third body orbit are suggested in order to explain both sets of data. Some discrepancies in the size of the orbit and radial velocity data remain. Next periastron passage should be at 1998.9.

Nova Sagittarii 1994 # 1 ( V 4332 Sagittarii ) : The Discovery and Evolution of an Unusual Luminous Red Variable Star
We report photometry and spectroscopy of the evolution of Nova Sagittarii 1994 #1 (V4332 Sagittarii) during outburst. We compare the photometric and spectral evolution of this outburst to known classes of outbursts – including classical novae and outbursts occurring on symbiotic stars – and find this object does not conform to any known class of outburst. The closest match to the behavior of th...
متن کاملEvidence for an intra - binary radio emission region in theAlgol system
We present radio interferometric observations of the Algol-type binary system V505 Sagitarii made with the ATNF Compact Array at 6 cm and 3.6 cm over one orbital cycle (1.18 days). We obtained a strong detection of the source (1.5 mJy at 6 cm and 1.4 mJy at 3.6 cm). The radio ux level shows a clear modulation with evidence of eclipses of the emission region at both conjunctions of the binary wh...
متن کاملNova Sagittarii 1998 ( V 4633 Sgr ) – A Permanent Superhump System or an Asynchronous Polar ?
We report the results of observations of V4633 Sgr (Nova Sagittarii 1998) during 1998-2000. Two photometric periodicities were present in the light curve during the three years of observations: a stable one at P = 3.014 h, which is probably the orbital period of the underlying binary system, and a second one of lower coherence, approximately 2.5 per cent longer than the former. The latter perio...

We present radio interferometric observations of the EA2 Algol-type binary system V505 Sagitarii made with the ATNF Compact Array at 6 cm and 3.6 cm over one orbital cycle (1.18 days). We obtained a strong detection of the source (1.5 mJy at 6 cm and 1.4 mJy at 3.6 cm) and derive a brightness temperature for the emitting region of T b 2.7 10 9 K, a magnetic eld strength of 17 G < B < 170 G and ...
متن کاملSpitzer Observations of V4332 Sagittarii: Detection of Alumina Dust
We present broad-band 24, 70 and 160 μm photometry, 5-35 μm and 55-90 μm spectra of the eruptive variable V4332 Sgr from Spitzer observations. The distinguishing feature of the 5-35 μm spectrum is an unusually broad absorption feature near 10 μm at the position generally associated with silicate-rich dust. Through radiative transfer modeling, we show that this broad feature cannot arise from si...
