Differential Dispersive Approach to Large Momentum Transfer Processes :

چکیده
:. ABSTRACT Interpreting the renormalization group in terms of its natural differential dispersive character, we analyze systematically general large momentum transfer processes in the context of renormalizable interacting quantum fields . The possibility of a consistent treatment of such processes is thereby attained. This possibility arises mainly from the occurrence of a power series in the inverse of the scale at large momentum transfer in the respective solutions of field theorythat is to say, in the solutions as determined by the previously introduced dimensional analysis violating sources which underlie the dispersive character of the renormalization group. Hence, our results generally deviate from those of convention. They appear to be in reasonable accord with experiment.

A Note on the Contribution of Dispersive Fluxes to Momentum Transfer within Canopies
Dispersive flux terms are formed when the time-averaged mean momentum equation is spatially averaged within the canopy volume. These fluxes represent a contribution to momentum transfer arising from spatial correlations of the time-averaged velocity components within a horizontal plane embedded in the canopy sublayer (CSL). Their relative importance to CSL momentum transfer is commonly neglecte...

The Gerasimov-Drell-Hearn sum rule and related dispersive integrals connect real and virtual Compton scattering to inclusive photoand electroproduction. Being based on universal principles as causality, unitarity, and gauge invariance, these relations provide a unique testing ground to study the internal degrees of freedom that hold a system together. The present contribution reviews the spin-d...

Bounds on the slope and the curvature of the scalar Kπ form factor at zero momentum transfer Abstract We derive and calculate unitarity bounds on the slope and curvature of the strangeness-changing scalar form factor at zero momentum transfer, using low-energy constraints and Watson final state interaction theorem. The results indicate that the curvature is important and should not be neglected...

It has been shown, in the case of meson photoproduction, that the power-law falloff of these reactions can be described by lowest order (real) sum rules, at moderate momentum transfer. The phases of these processes, in this regime, are usually thought to be non-perturbative. In a sum rule framework, however, they can possibly be described by radiative corrections to the hadronic spectral densit...
