Some Remarks on the Relation of Filaria Sanguinis Hominis to Chyluria and Other Lymphoid Diseases

By Surgeon G. C. Roy, M.IX, F.R.C.S., Civil Surgeon, Beerbhoom. Chyluria is essentially a tropical disease. An analysis of the cases recorded in the Lancet will show that the subjects of it were, at one time 01* other of their lives, residents in a tropical climate, whence they probably carried with thein the germ of the disease. Even in the tropics its occurrence however is not frequent, inasmuch as it seldom falls to the lot of an ordinary practitioner to treat more than 2 or 3 cases in a year, I had lately two well-marked cases under my observation, and two more were so masked by the presence-of blood in the urine that more properly they should rather be termed hematuria than chyluria. The two seem to be different
