Electric Field Distribution Excited by Indoor Radio Source for Exposure Compliance Assessment
نویسندگان
چکیده
Correction factors are presented for estimating the RF electromagnetic field strength in the compliance assessment of human exposure from an indoor RF radio source in the frequency range from 800 MHz to 3.5 GHz. The correction factors are derived from the increase in the spatial average electric field strength distribution, which is dependent on the building materials. The spatial average electric field strength is calculated using relative complex dielectric constants of building materials. The relative complex dielectric constant is obtained through measurement of the transmission and reflection losses regarding three kinds of building materials.

Assessment of Statistical Distribution of Exposure to Electromagnetic Fields from Social Alarm Devices
Social alarm devices are used to assist patients, elderly and disabled people in distress situations. Environments equipped with such wireless, sensitive and responsive devices are referred to as being Ambient Assisted Living (AAL). The use of such devices and transmission sources based on short range wireless technologies involves the increase of levels of electromagnetic (EM) fields in reside...
متن کاملAssessment of Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) Electric and Magnetic Fields in Hamedan High Electrical Power Stations and their Effects on Workers
Introduction: Public and occupational exposure to extremely low frequency (ELF) electric and magnetic fields induced by electrical equipment is a significant issue in the environment and at the workplace due to their potential health effects on public health. The purpose of this study was assessment of the electric and magnetic fields intensities and determination of mental and psychological ef...
متن کاملExposure Optimization in Indoor Wireless Networks by Heuristic Network Planning
Due to the increased use of indoor wireless networks and the concern about human exposure to radio-frequency sources, exposure awareness has increased during recent years. However, current-day network planners rarely take into account electric-field strengths when designing networks. Therefore, in this paper, a heuristic indoor network planner for exposure calculation and optimization of wirele...
متن کاملAssessment of RF exposures from emerging wireless communication technologies in different environments.
In situ electromagnetic (EM) radio frequency (RF) exposure to base stations of emerging wireless technologies is assessed at 311 locations, 68 indoor and 243 outdoor, spread over 35 areas in three European countries (Belgium, The Netherlands, and Sweden) by performing narrowband spectrum analyzer measurements. The locations are selected to characterize six different environmental categories (ru...
متن کاملAssessment of radio frequency exposures in schools, homes, and public places in Belgium.
Characterization of exposure from emerging radio frequency (RF) technologies in areas where children are present is important. Exposure to RF electromagnetic fields (EMF) was assessed in three "sensitive" microenvironments; namely, schools, homes, and public places located in urban environments and compared to exposure in offices. In situ assessment was conducted by performing spatial broadband...
