Flight #3 HFE transient test
نویسنده
چکیده
PAGE DATE High levels of noise were measured on the HFE/Central Station power and data interface lines during Flight #3 Integration Tests. Subsequent system tests including a special noise susceptibility test proved that the HFE induced noise levels were well below a margin that would adversely affect system performance.

Effect of Hfe Deficiency on Memory Capacity and Motor Coordination after Manganese Exposure by Drinking Water in Mice
Excess manganese (Mn) is neurotoxic. Increased manganese stores in the brain are associated with a number of behavioral problems, including motor dysfunction, memory loss and psychiatric disorders. We previously showed that the transport and neurotoxicity of manganese after intranasal instillation of the metal are altered in Hfe-deficient mice, a mouse model of the iron overload disorder heredi...
متن کاملLoss of Hfe Function Reverses Impaired Recognition Memory Caused by Olfactory Manganese Exposure in Mice
Excessive manganese (Mn) in the brain promotes a variety of abnormal behaviors, including memory deficits, decreased motor skills and psychotic behavior resembling Parkinson's disease. Hereditary hemochromatosis (HH) is a prevalent genetic iron overload disorder worldwide. Dysfunction in HFE gene is the major cause of HH. Our previous study has demonstrated that olfactory Mn uptake is altered b...
متن کاملLaser Beam Hazard for flight personnel
Lasers can produce a beam of light of such intensity that permanent damage to human tissue, in particular the retina of the eye, can be caused instantaneously, even at distances of over 10 km. At lower intensities, laser beams can seriously affect visual performance without causing physical damage to the eyes; causing transient damage or causing sensation and loss of focus. Laser illumination o...
متن کاملIn Situ Proximity Ligation Assays Indicate That Hemochromatosis Proteins Hfe and Transferrin Receptor 2 (Tfr2) Do Not Interact
The hemochromatosis associated proteins HFE and Transferrin Receptor 2 (TFR2) have been shown to be important for the proper regulation of hepcidin. A number of in vitro studies using transient overexpression systems have suggested that an interaction between HFE and TFR2 is required for the regulation of hepcidin. This model of iron sensing which centers upon the requirement for an interaction...
متن کاملComplete scanning of the hereditary hemochromatosis gene (HFE) by use of denaturing HPLC.
BACKGROUND Between 4% and 35% of hereditary hemochromatosis (HC) probands are C282Y or H63D heterozygotes or lack both of these two common HFE mutations, and 15 novel HFE mutations have been described recently. We evaluated denaturing HPLC (DHPLC) for screening of the whole HFE coding region and further defined whether HC probands with an incomplete HFE genotype carry uncommon mutations. METH...
