On Exploiting Adjacent Bits in NLS
نویسندگان
چکیده
NLS is a stream cipher consisting of a non-linear feedback shift register (NFSR) and a non-linear filter (NLF). This paper presents a linear distinguishing attack on NLS using an improved version of the Crossword Puzzle (CP) attack [2] by exploiting the internal dependencies between the NFSR and NLF. We derive significantly higher bias linear approximations of the NFSR and NLF using linear combinations of adjacent bits.

Experiments on Coupled Technique for Adjacent Similar Buildings
Increasing the population, urbanization has led to the rapid construction of buildings. Due to space constraints and an increase in land cost, these buildings are built too close to each other and can cause damage under dynamic actions such as earthquakes. A new technique, known as Structural coupling, has been developed recently, has found very effective in dissipating the dispersive vibration...
متن کاملNevus lipomatosus superficialis on the neck: an unusual location
Nevus lipomatosus superficialis (NLS) is a hamartomatous skin lesion defined by the presence of mature adipose tissues among the collagen bundles of the dermis. It is classified into two forms:the classical form and the solitary form. The classical NLS most commonly involves the pelvic or gluteal region. In this paper, we report a case of classical NLS over the neck because of its atypica...
متن کاملMultiple Modular Additions and Crossword Puzzle Attack on NLSv2
NLS is a stream cipher which was submitted to eSTREAM project. A linear distinguishing attack against NLS was presented by Cho and Pieprzyk, which was called as Crossword Puzzle attack. NLSv2 is the tweak version of NLS which aims mainly at avoiding the CP attack. In this paper, a new distinguishing attack against NLSv2 is presented. The attack exploits high correlation amongst neighboring bits...
متن کاملRegulation of nuclear import by phosphorylation adjacent to nuclear localization signals.
Many important regulatory proteins, including cell cycle regulators and transcription factors, contain a phosphorylation site within or adjacent to a classic nuclear localization signal (NLS) sequence. Previous studies show that the nuclear localization of these cargoes can be regulated by phosphorylation at these sites. It was hypothesized that this phosphorylation regulates the nuclear import...
متن کاملNew Insights on Genetic Features of Neu-Laxova Syndrome
ABSTRACTBackground: This study aimed to present a rare case of Neu-Laxova syndrome (NLS) and review the newly revealed genetic features of the disease in hopes to find a way for early interventions.Case report: Female newborn with NLS was born at 30 weeks of gestation to consanguineous parents. The last prenatal ultrasound imaging revealed severe intrauterine growth restriction and microcephaly...
