Abstract—The main topic of this paper are the EMI reduction problems in high voltage power converters with 6.5 kV IGBTs. The generation process of electromagnetic interference is briefly analyzed, some EMI reduction methods are introduced. Theoretical analysis, calculation and experimental results of choosing the snubber circuit for minimization of parasitic ringing are described.
