Use of Lukol in Gynaecological Practice

MATERIAL AND METHODS The present study was conducted at the Sardar Patel Memorial Hospital, Bilaspur, between January 1973 and January 1975 – approximating two years. During this period, 423 cases suffering from leucorrhoea were screened from which 100 cases completed the study. The cases were registered and studied as per details of a pro forma designed for this trial. The investigations were personally supervised and in addition, two slides were prepared from the posterior fornix. Trichomonal and monilial vaginitis were excluded. The cases which had no obvious pelvic pathology were selected for the trial. Lukol tablets (The Himalaya Drug Co.) were used orally for trials.
