Comparison of Fast Recovery Fast Spin Echo and Conventional Fast Spin Echo for T2 Weighted Imaging of the Prostate Gland

چکیده
Introduction The FRFSE sequence is a modification to the standard FSE sequence in which additional RF pulses are used to accelerate recovery of longitudinal magnetization after the echo train is acquired. The sequence can provide enhanced fluid signal in the setting of short TR for joint imaging. We compared this sequence to standard FSE using a long TR for axial endorectal coil T2 weighted imaging of the prostate gland.

Comparison the Accuracy of Fetal Brain Extraction from T2-Half-Fourier Acquisition Single-Shot Turbo Spin-Echo (HASTE) MR Image with T2-True Fast Imaging with Steady State Free Precession (TRUFI) MR Image by Level Set Algorithm
Background Access to appropriate images of fetal brain can greatly assist to diagnose of probable abnormalities. The aim of this study was to compare the suitability of T2-True Fast Imaging with Steady State Free Precession (T2-TRUFI), and T2-Half-Fourier Acquisition Single-Shot Turbo Spin-Echo (T2- HASTE( magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to extract the fetal brain using the level set algorithm...
متن کاملA comparison of MR sequences for lesions of the parotid gland.
PURPOSE To compare six MR sequences (plain and gadolinium-enhanced fat suppressed T1-weighted spin echo, T2-weighted standard spin echo, fat-suppressed and non-fat-suppressed T2-weighted fast spin echo, and inversion-recovery T2-weighted fast spin echo) in their ability to detect, delineate, and characterize lesions of the parotid gland. METHODS Fifty-eight parotid gland lesions imaged on 47 ...
متن کاملFat-suppressed MR of the orbit and cavernous sinus: comparison of fast spin-echo and conventional spin-echo.
PURPOSE To compare T2-weighted fat-suppressed fast spin-echo imaging with fat-suppressed conventional spin-echo imaging in the detection of normal intraorbital and pericavernous anatomy and orbital disease, and to determine the efficacy of fat saturation with T2-weighted fast spin-echo imaging of the cavernous sinus. METHODS Contrast-to-noise ratios of normal intraorbital anatomy were calcula...
متن کاملMR of the head and neck: comparison of fast spin-echo and conventional spin-echo sequences.
PURPOSE To compare conspicuousness of head and neck lesions on fast spin-echo sequences and conventional spin-echo sequences. METHODS Forty consecutive patients with 61 head and neck lesions were evaluated. Lesion conspicuousness was qualitatively compared on conventional spin-echo and fast spin-echo sequences, using both spin-density and T2-weighted images. Thirty-six lesions had surgical or...
متن کاملComparison of Three-Dimensional Double-Echo Steady-State Sequence with Routine Two-Dimensional Sequence in the Depiction of Knee Cartilage
Introduction: There are some routine two-dimensional sequences, including short tau inversion recovery (STIR), T2-weighted fast-spin echo (T2W-FSE), and proton-density fast spin-echo for diagnosing osteoarthritis and lesions of the knee cartilage. However, these sequences have some disadvantages, such as long scan time, inadequate spatial resolution, and suboptimal tis...
