Identification of differential expressed PE exosomal miRNA in lung adenocarcinoma, tuberculosis, and other benign lesions

چکیده
Pleural effusion (PE) is a common clinical complication of many pulmonary and systemic diseases, including lung cancer and tuberculosis. Nevertheless, there is no clinical effective biomarker to identify the cause of PE. We attempted to investigate differential expressed exosomal miRNAs in PEs of lung adenocarcinoma (APE), tuberculous (TPE), and other benign lesions (NPE) by using deep sequencing and quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). As a result, 171 differentiated miRNAs were observed in 3 groups of PEs, and 11 significantly differentiated exosomal miRNAs were validated by qRT-PCR. We identified 9 miRNAs, including miR-205-5p, miR-483-5p, miR-375, miR-200c-3p, miR-429, miR-200b-3p, miR-200a-3p, miR-203a-3p, and miR-141-3p which were preferentially represented in exosomes derived from APE when compared with TPE or NPE, while 3 miRNAs, including miR-148a-3p, miR-451a, and miR-150-5p, were differentially expressed between TPE and NPE. These different miRNAs profiles may hold promise as biomarkers for differential diagnosis of PEs with more validation based on larger cohorts.

p63 is more sensitive and specific than 34βE12 to differentiate adenocarcinoma of prostate from cancer mimickers
Objective(s): Prostate cancer is the world’s leading cause of cancer and the second cause of cancer-related death in men after lung cancer. Differentiation of prostate adenocarcinoma from benign prostate lesions and hyperplasia sometimes cannot be done on the basis of morphologic findings. Considering the fact that in the prostate adenocarcinoma there is no basal cell layer, basal cell markers ...
متن کاملCirculating exosomal microRNAs as prognostic biomarkers for non-small-cell lung cancer
Exosomal miRNAs are proposed as excellent candidate biomarkers for clinical applications. However, little is known about their potential roles as prognostic biomarkers in lung cancer. In this study, we explored the prognostic value of plasma exosomal microRNAs (miRNAs) for non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Using a quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) array panel, we analyzed 84 plasm...
متن کاملBioinformatics identification of miRNA-mRNA regulatory network contributing to lung cancer invasion
Background: Over the past 15 years, significant insights have been gained into the roles of miRNAs in cancer. In various cancers, miRNAs can act as oncogenes, tumor suppressors, or control the metastasis process by modulating the expression of numerous target genes. This study is aimed at determining molecular network of miRNA-mRNA regulating lung cancer invasion, by bioinformatics approaches. ...
متن کاملBioinformatics Identification of miRNA-mRNA Regulatory Network Contributing Primary Lung Cancer
Introduction: In clinical practice, distinguishing invasive lung tumors from primary tumors remains a challenge. With recent advances in understanding biological alterations of tumorigenesis and molecular analytic technologies, using these molecular alterations can be sensitive and tumor-specific as biomarker for the stratification of patients. In this study, the molecular network of miRNA-mRNA...

We report the occurrence of lung cancer in a six months old lamb of Ouled Djellal breed from Algeria. The main clinical sign was a considerable amount of whitish foamy fluid discharge from the nostrils when the animal head was lowered and the rear end was lifted. The post-mortem examination revealed the presence of enlarged, heavy and edematous lungs with diffuse or foci areas, reddish or white...
