چکیده

Multilinear maps have become popular tools for designing cryptographic schemes since a first approximate realisation candidate was proposed by Garg, Gentry and Halevi (GGH). This construction was later improved by Langlois, Stehlé and Steinfeld who proposed GGHLite which offers smaller parameter sizes. In this work, we provide the first implementation of such approximate multilinear maps based on ideal lattices. Implementing GGH-like schemes naively would not allow instantiating it for non-trivial parameter sizes. We hence propose a strategy which reduces parameter sizes further and several technical improvements to allow for an efficient implementation. In particular, since finding a prime generator for some ideal when generating instances is an expensive operation, we show how we can drop this requirement. We also propose algorithms and implementations for sampling from discrete Gaussians, for inverting in some Cyclotomic number fields and for computing norms of ideals in some Cyclotomic number rings. Due to our improvements we were able to compute a multilinear jigsaw puzzle for κ “ 52 (resp. κ “ 38) and λ “ 52 (resp. λ “ 80).

Obfuscating Circuits via Composite-Order Graded Encoding

We present a candidate obfuscator based on composite-order Graded Encoding Schemes (GES), which are a generalization of multilinear maps. Our obfuscator operates on circuits directly without converting them into formulas or branching programs as was done in previous solutions. As a result, the time and size complexity of the obfuscated program, measured by the number of GES elements, is directl...

Graph-Induced Multilinear Maps from Lattices

Graded multilinear encodings have found extensive applications in cryptography ranging from non-interactive key exchange protocols, to broadcast and attribute-based encryption, and even to software obfuscation. Despite seemingly unlimited applicability, essentially only two candidate constructions are known (GGH and CLT). In this work, we describe a new graphinduced multilinear encoding scheme ...

Strongly Secure Authenticated Key Exchange from Ideal Lattices

In this paper, we propose an efficient and practical authenticated key exchange (AKE) protocol from ideal lattices, which is well-designed and has some similarity to the HMQV protocol. Using the hardness of the graded discrete logarithm (GDL) problem and graded decisional Diffie-Hellman (GCDH) problem, the proposed protocol is provably secure in the extended Canetti-Krawczyk model.

Shorter Circuit Obfuscation in Challenging Security Models

The study of program obfuscation is seeing great progress in recent years, which is crucially attributed to the introduction of graded encoding schemes by Garg, Gentry and Halevi (Eurocrypt 2013). In such schemes, elements of a ring can be encoded such that the content of the encoding is hidden, but restricted algebraic manipulations, followed by zero-testing, can be performed publicly. This pr...
