چکیده
Active Knowledge Engineering Lab The Active Knowledge Engineering Lab activities include investigations that are about discovering, externalizing, expressing, representing, sharing, exploring, configuring, activating, growing and managing enterprise knowledge as well as designing new programming platforms based on mentioned above principles. This year we have been focused on the following topics. 1. Filmfications of Methods and Data Existing systems of symbols and notations are usually very abstract and there is a great gap between the form and meaning of data/knowledge. Our long-term education, in an essential part, is reduced to training our brain for being ’encoding-decoding’ machine bridging this gap. The abstractness mentioned and bridging operations are sources of serious mental and physical problems for a great variety of people and, especially for disabled and elderly. Our aging society is also becoming information society. So, the above-mentioned aspect of our environment is becoming crucial. That is why, our

Remote Training with Self-Assessment in Electrical Engineering
The paper focuses on the distance laboratory organisation for training the electrical engineering staff and students in the fields of electrical drive and power electronics. To support online knowledge acquisition and professional enhancement, new challenges in remote education based on an active learning approach with self-assessment have been emerged by the authors. Following the literature r...
متن کاملIntegration of an Experiential Assembly System Engineering Laboratory Module*
Curriculum integration and multidisciplinary studies have become key issues in improving engineering education. This paper presents the design and implementation of laboratory material, based on active and collaborative learning, which integrates three traditionally independent courses in the industrial engineering curriculum: Manufacturing Engineering, Ergonomics, and Simulation, utilizing an ...
متن کاملImprovement Performances of Active and Reactive Power Control Applied to DFIG for Variable Speed Wind Turbine Using Sliding Mode Control and FOC
This paper deals with the Active and Reactive Power control of double-fed induction generator (DFIG) for variable speed wind turbine. For controlling separately the active and the reactive power generated by a DFIG, field oriented control (FOC) and indirect sliding mode control (ISMC) are presented. These non linear controls are compared on the basis of topology, cost, efficiency. The main cont...
متن کاملSome Approaches to Knowledge Acquisition
Knowledge acquisition is not a single, monolithic problem for AI. There are many ways to approach the topic in order to understand issues and design useful tools for constructing knowledge-based systems. Several of those approaches are being explored in the Knowledge Systems Laboratory (KSL) at Stanford. BACKGROUND In 1969, while working on DENDRAL, we recognized the “bottleneck” problem of acq...
متن کاملComponent-based Design of a Flexible Environment Dedicated to Web-based Experimentation
Experimentation is an essential ingredient to sustain learning activities in engineering education. Nowadays many academic institutions are making great efforts to provide their students with standalone applications for Web-based simulation or remote manipulation of laboratory equipment. However, these resources are not really effective if deployed as such, without additional components which c...
