چکیده

We give numerically tractable, explicit integral expressions for the distribution of the signal-to-interference-andnoise-ratio (SINR) experienced by a typical user in the downlink channel from the k-th strongest bases stations of a cellular network modelled by Poisson point process on the plane. Our model comprises power-low path-loss model with arbitrarily distributed shadowing, with and without Rayleigh fading. Our results are valid in the whole domain of SINR, in particular for SINR < 1, where one observes multiple coverage. In this latter aspect our paper complements previous studies reported in [1].

Coverage, Capacity and Energy Efficiency Analysis in the Uplink of mmWave Cellular Networks

In this paper, using the concept of stochastic geometry, we present an analytical framework to evaluate the signalto-interference-and-noise-ratio (SINR) coverage in the uplink of millimeter wave cellular networks. By using a distancedependent line-of-sight (LOS) probability function, the location of LOS and non-LOS users are modeled as two independent non-homogeneous Poisson point processes, wi...

Optimal Thresholds for Coverage and Rate in FFR Schemes for Planned Cellular Networks

Fractional frequency reuse (FFR) is an inter-cell interference coordination scheme that is being actively researched for emerging wireless cellular networks. In this work, we consider hexagonal tessellation based planned FFR deployments, and derive expressions for the coverage probability and normalized average rate for the downlink. In particular, given reuse 1 3 (FR3 ) and reuse 1 (FR1) regio...

Generalized Analysis and Optimization of D2D Communications in Cellular Networks

This paper develops an innovative approach to the modeling and analysis of downlink cellular networks with deviceto-device (D2D) transmissions. The analytical embodiment of the signal-to-noise and-interference ratio (SINR) analysis in general fading channels is unified due to the H-transform theory, a taxonomy never considered before in stochastic geometry-based cellular network modeling and an...

QoS-Aware SINR-based Call Blocking Evaluation in Cellular Networks with 3G Interface

A Quality of service (QoS)-aware signal to interference and noise ratio (SINR)-based blocking probability model is simulated in this paper to evaluate the performance of networks with third generation (3G) interface. To arrive at a suitable model, we set a relatively low SINR threshold value ( th SINR ), which results in the admission of more users into the system. But this in turn yields an in...

Spectrum Allocation for Cellular User Based on D2D Communication

The amount of data traffic in cellular networks has been increasing dramatically in the past few decades. To cope with the traffic increase, heterogeneous cellular network has been introduced to improve network performance by offloading traffic to access points (APs) with better link quality. The increase of energy consumption directly increases the greenhouse gas emissions which threatens the ...
