Application of Voc Translation Tools-a Case Study

چکیده
In today's highly competitive environment, where sources of product and processbased competitive advantage are quickly imitated by competitors, it is becoming increasingly difficult to differentiate on technical features and quality alone. Companies may overcome this problem by incorporating the ‘voice of the customer’ into the design of new products and focusing on customer value, thereby offering total solutions to customer needs. Therefore, it is critical for all technologybased companies to gain an accurate understanding of the potential value of their offerings, and to learn how this value can be further enhanced. There are many tools that help translate the Voice of the customer, to the Voice of the designer, but it is important to choose the right tool and in the correct sequence, for a successful product development. An important tool to elicit customer value at an early stage of the product development is the conjoint analysis. Conjoint analysis is a research technique for measuring customers' preferences, and it is a method for simulating how customers might react to changes in current products or to new products introduced into an existing competitive market. The paper discusses, how the ‘hardware’ features and the ‘software’ features, from a customer’s point of view, need to be translated into product features and also, the sequencing of the tools, to achieve a perfect drill-down into conjoint analysis, which is an ultimate tool to help translate the Voice of the customer.

Offgas Treatment Approaches By Focusing On Biofiltration Methods in Asphalt Factories
In the considered foundry emits offgas containing VOCs (especially ethanol). In order to reduce the VOC content, a compost based biofilter has been installed. In this approach, the polluted air stream enters a pre-conditioning chamber where temperature and humidity is adjusted for asphalt factories. Biofilteration has already been well established as an air pollutant control alternative. There ...
متن کاملTranslation Technology Tools and Professional Translators’ Attitudes toward Them
Today technology is an integral part of professional translation; and it is generally assumed that translators’ attitudes toward translation technology tools influence their interaction with technology (Bundgaard, 2017). Therefore, the present two-phase study seeks to shed some light on what translation technology tools are and how professional translators feel toward them. The research method ...

The lifespan of organic coatings is reduced in outdoor applications by attacks of solar radiation, oxygen and atmospheric pollutants. Degradation of coating and recoating introduce pollutants into the environment. For solvent base coatings like alkyd paints volatile organic compounds (VOC) are main source of pollution. Undesirable mechanical, physical and chemical consequences of the resulting ...
متن کاملStrategies Available for Translating Persian Epic Poetry: A Case of Shahnameh
This study tried to find the strategies applied in three English translations of the Battle of Rostam and Esfandiyar. To this aim, the source text (ST) was analyzed verse by verse with each verse being compared with its English translations to determine what procedures the translators had used to render the source text. Subsequently, the frequency of usage for each procedure was measured ...
متن کاملEvaluation of three probing techniques in a three-dimensional air quality model
[1] Probing techniques are useful to provide diagnostic evaluations of air quality models and to indicate the responses of model predictions to changes in emissions. Three probing tools are available in a three-dimensional air quality model, CAMx: the Decoupled Direct Method (DDM), the Ozone Source Attribution Technology (OSAT), and Process Analysis (PA). These tools are evaluated in terms of c...
