Variational multiframe restoration of images degraded by noisy (stochastic) blur kernels

چکیده
We wish to recover an original image u from several blurrynoisy versions fk, called frames. We assume a more severe degradation model, in which the image u has been blurred by a noisy (stochastic) point spread function. We consider the problem of restoring the degraded image in a variational framework. Since the recovery of u from one single frame f is a highly ill-posed problem, we propose two minimization problems based on the multiframe approach introduced for image superresolution by Marquina-Osher [28]. Several experimental results for greyscale and color image restoration are shown, together with binary image segmentation of noisy-blurry data and restoration of static videos, illustrating that the proposed models give visually satisfactory results.

A Modified Wiener Filter for Multi-Frame Restoration of Blurred and Noisy Images
This paper proposes the use of a modified Wiener digital restoration technique for multiframe image sequences that are degraded by both blur and noise. The proposed multichannel Wiener restoration filter accounts for both intra-frame (spatial) and inter-frame (temporal) correlation. A modified cross-correlation formula between consecutive frames, which directly utilizes the motion vectors in th...
متن کاملA fast Kalman filter for images degraded by both blur and noise
In this paper a fast Kalman filter is derived for the nearly optimal recursive restoration of images degraded in a deterministic way by blur and in a stochastic way by additive white noise. Straightforwardly implemented optimal restoration schemes for two-dimensional images degraded by both blur and noise create dimensionality problems which, in turn, lead to large storage and computational req...
متن کاملImage Restoration by Variable Splitting based on Total Variant Regularizer
The aim of image restoration is to obtain a higher quality desired image from a degraded image. In this strategy, an image inpainting method fills the degraded or lost area of the image by appropriate information. This is performed in such a way so that the obtained image is undistinguishable for a casual person who is unfamiliar with the original image. In this paper, different images are degr...
متن کاملImproving Super-resolution Techniques via Employing Blurriness Information of the Image
Super-resolution (SR) is a technique that produces a high resolution (HR) image via employing a number of low resolution (LR) images from the same scene. One of the degradations that attenuates performance of the SR is the blurriness of the input LR images. In many previous works in the SR, the blurriness of the LR images is assumed to be due to the integral effect of the image sensor of the im...
متن کاملImage Restoration from Uniform Motion Blur and Poissonian Noise
Image restoration is to improve the quality of a digital image which has been degraded due to various phenomena like blur, noise. An image with uniform motion blur and Poisson noise is considered. Images acquired at different exposure times are obtained and SNR values for each image are calculated. The blurred and noisy images are restored using the pseudo-inverse filter and SNR values are calc...
