چکیده

In this paper we present a LST product obtained from Advanced Along-Track Scanning Radiometer (AATSR) data. The product has been validated with in situ measurements carried out in the framework of the CarboEurope-Flex-Sentinel-2 (CEFLES2) campaign. In addition the paper present a comparison between the proposed product and the LST retrieved from different sensors as Spinning Enhanced Visible and Infrared Imager (SEVIRI) onboard Meteosat Second Generation (MSG) satellite and Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) onboard AQUA/TERRA satellites, all these coincidently with the AATSR overpass. The comparison has been carried out in two ways; a) by using the LST values retrieved from the SW algorithms developed by our Global Change Unit for each sensor, and b) with the official products provided by EOS Data Gateway, LandSAF and ESA EOLI Catalogue.

The Aatsr Land Surface Temperature (lst) Product: Comparison with Lsts from Seviri

The Advanced Along-Track Scanning Radiometer (AATSR) onboard ESA’s Envisat Satellite, is the third in a series of precision radiometers designed to measure Sea Surface Temperature (SST). Since March 2004, an operational Land Surface Temperature (LST) product has also been available, which is the first of its kind since the (A)ATSR mission began in 1991. This product utilises a nadir-only split-...

Ground Measurements for the Validation of Land Surface Temperatures Derived from AATSR and MODIS Data

An experimental site was set up in a large, flat and homogeneous area of rice crops for the validation of satellite derived land surface temperature (LST). Experimental campaigns were held in the summers of 2002-04, when rice crops show full vegetation cover. LSTs were measured radiometrically along transects covering an area of 1 km. A total number of four thermal radiometers were used, which ...

Land-Surface Emissivity Retrieval in MSG-SEVIRI TIR Channels Using MODIS Data

A procedure is presented that allows using information from the MODerate resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) sensor to improve the quality of emissivity maps for the Meteosat Second Generation/Spinning Enhanced Visible and Infrared Imager (SEVIRI) currently in use as input to a generalized split window (SW) algorithm for land-surface temperature (LST) retrievals in the operational chai...

Evaluation of the Envisat-aatsr Land Surface Temperature Algorithm with Ground Measurements in the Valencia Test Site

RESUME In this work we describe the validation of the land surface temperature (LST) product derived from the Advanced Along-Track Scanning Radiometer (AATSR). A test site was established in a large, flat and homogeneous area of rice crops close to Valencia, Spain. Coincidentally to the Envisat morning overpasses, radiometric temperatures were measured along transects covering the area of one A...
