چکیده

In an earlier paper, we studied the approximation of solutions V (t) to a class of SPDEs by the empirical measure V n(t) of a system of n interacting diffusions. In the present paper, we consider a central limit type problem, showing that √ n(V n − V ) converges weakly, in the dual of a nuclear space, to the unique solution of a stochastic evolution equation. Analogous results in which the diffusions that determine V n are replaced by their Euler approximations are also discussed. Introduction to Schramm-Loewner evolution and its application to critical systems

In this short review we look at recent advances in Schramm-Loewner Evolution (SLE) theory and its application to critical phenomena. The application of SLE goes beyond critical systems to other time dependent, scale invariant phenomena such as turbulence, sand-piles and watersheds. Through the use of SLE, the evolution of conformally invariant paths on the complex plane can be followed; hence a...

Stationarity, Time–reversal and Fluctuation Theory for a Class of Piecewise Deterministic Markov Processes

We consider a class of stochastic dynamical systems, called piecewise deterministic Markov processes, with states (x, σ) ∈ Ω × Γ, Ω being a region in R or the d–dimensional torus, Γ being a finite set. The continuous variable x follows a piecewise deterministic dynamics, the discrete variable σ evolves by a stochastic jump dynamics and the two resulting evolutions are fully–coupled. We study st...

The Effects of Different SDE Calculus on Dynamics of Nano-Aerosols Motion in Two Phase Flow Systems

Langevin equation for a nano-particle suspended in a laminar fluid flow was analytically studied. The Brownian motion generated from molecular bombardment was taken as a Wiener stochastic process and approximated by a Gaussian white noise. Euler-Maruyama method was used to solve the Langevin equation numerically. The accuracy of Brownian simulation was checked by performing a series of simulati...

We consider a large class of nearest neighbor attractive stochastic interacting systems that includes the asymmetric simple exclusion, zero range, bricklayers' and the symmetric K-exclusion processes. We provide exact formulas that connect particle flux (or surface growth) fluctuations to the two-point function of the process and to the motion of the second class particle. Such connections have...
