The High{Level Communications Library CLIC

چکیده

One important class of applications for high performance computers is based on 3{ dimensional block{structured grids. Multigrid and CFD codes using nite diierence or-nite volume discretizations fall into this class of applications. As the communication parts of these application programs are similar, the central Communications Library CLIC{3D has been developed. Because the CLIC Library is based on MPI or PARMACS, the library and the applications programs are portable across all machines for which these message passing interfaces are available. In the POPINDA project, the application codes FLOWer and NSFLEX were initially parallelized using the CLIC Library in 5 and 7 days, respectively.
