Arch of aorta with bi-carotid trunk, left subclavian artery, and retroesophageal right subclavian artery.

چکیده
We report a case of left sided aortic arch with three branches - a bi-carotid trunk, left subclavian, artery and right subclavian artery. The anomalous right subclavian artery presented a retroesophageal course. A right non-recurrent laryngeal nerve was noticed. The embryonic development of this branching pattern is discussed.

Right-sided aortic arch with the retroesophageal left subclavian artery as the fourth branch
We present a rare variation of the right-sided aortic arch with the retroesophageal left subclavian artery as the forth branch found in a cadaver of an 89-year-old Korean woman during a routine dissection. In this case, the first branch that arose from the ascending aorta was the left common carotid artery, which crossed ventral to the trachea in a left cephalic direction, followed by the right...
متن کاملAnatomical Study of Subclavian Artery and Its Branches
Background: The branches of right and left subclavian arteries are important in conducting of blood to spinal cord, posterior cranial fossa, base of the neck, thyroid gland, wall of the thorax and abdomen. The routine use of internal thoracic artery as a conduit in coronary artery bypass grafting surgery requires appreciation of the anatomical variations of these vessels. So far, there is not a...
متن کاملA Retroesophageal Right Subclavian Artery as the Last Branch of the Aortic Arch- In Vivo Case Report
Three major arteries normally originate from the aortic arch. Variations of the aortic arch branches are observed in some cases. Rare variation of the aortic arch branches is originated from the retroesophageal right subclavian (RRS) artery as the last branch of the aortic arch. Variation of artery is possibly associated with the variation of the recurrent laryngeal nerve. This research p...
متن کاملReconstruction of the left-sided brachiocephalic trunk after vascular ring operation in left-handed child with Kommerell's diverticulum
We report a case of a 2-year-old girl with prenatal diagnosis of vascular ring composed of a right-sided aortic arch, a left ligamentum arteriosum, and a left subclavian artery (arteria lusoria sin) originating from a retroesophageal Kommerell's diverticulum, who was referred for surgery with symptoms related to local compression - severe dysphagia and respiratory disorders. Through the left po...
متن کاملThe Case Report of Variation in Subclavian Branches
The Subclavian artery is a major branch of the Aorta. In the left the subclavian artery arises from aortic arch, and in the right it arises from the Brachiocephalic trunk This artery passes from the subclavian groove on the first rib and continues as Axillary artery. The Subclavian artery has several branches that supply chest wall, Thyroid gland and cervical region. Several variations about th...
