چکیده

In various unified extensions of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model, the Yukawa couplings of the third generation are predicted to be of the same order. As a result, low energy measured mass ratios, require large ratios of the standard model Higgs vacuum expectation values, corresponding to a large value of the parameter tanβ. We present analytic solutions for the Yukawa couplings and the Higgs and third generation squark masses, in the case of large top and bottom Yukawa couplings. We examine regions of these Yukawas which give predictions for the top mass compatible with the present experimentally determined top mass and provide useful approximate formulae for the scalars. We discuss the implications on the Radiative Symmetry Breaking mechanism and derive constraints on the undetermined initial conditions of the scalars. We consider the infrared quasi fixed point solutions of the renormalization group equations for the Yukawa couplings and soft supersymmetry breaking parameters in the MSSM in the large tan β regime. The existence of IR quasi fixed points together with the values of gauge couplings, third generation quarks, lepton and Z-boson masses allows one to predict masses of the Higgs bosons and SUSY parti...

MSSM phenomenology in the large Tan β regime

We discuss aspects of the low energy phenomenology of the MSSM, in the large tan β regime. We explore the regions of the parameter space where the h t and h b Yukawa couplings exhibit a fixed point structure, using previous analytic solutions for these couplings. Expressions for the parameters A t and A b and the renormalised soft mass terms are also derived, making it possible to estimate anal...

The B s-¯ B s mixing parameter ∆M s is studied in the MSSM with large tan β. The recent Tevatron measurement of ∆M s is used to constrain the MSSM parameter space. From this analysis the often neglected contribution to ∆M s from the operator Q SLL 1

We show that two-loop corrections to the finite temperature effective potential in the MSSM can have a dramatic effect on the strength of the electroweak phase transition, making it more strongly first order. The change in the order parameter v/T c can be as large as 75% of the one-loop daisy improved result. This effect can be decisive to widen the region in parameter space where erasure of th...

" The search for the Higgs boson is the task # 1 of high energy physics " L. Abstract The status of the Higgs boson mass in the Standard Model and its supersym-metric extensions is reviewed and the perspectives of Higgs searches are discussed. The parameter space of the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model (MSSM) is analysed with the emphasis on the lightest Higgs mass. The infrared behaviour ...
