Perspiration modelling of the human foot
ثبت نشده
چکیده
SATRA Technology wishes to use an “artificial foot” to replace those of live volunteers in comfort tests. The artificial foot has the size and shape of a real foot and is made of a heated aluminium core surrounded by a polyurethane and a porous-rubber layer. The tests involve equipping the artificial foot with hose (socks, stockings, etc.) and the shoes or boots to be tested, and subjecting it to controlled environments for periods of up to several hours. The Study Group was asked to look initially at heat and moisture transfer for feet, real and artificial, exposed directly to the atmosphere. The next stage is to look at mass and heat transport across the hose. Identification of key effects in a reasonable model might allow temperature and moisture levels in different conditions to be determined without the need for separate experiments in each case.

Reviewing the physiology of human perspiration and introducing different types of antiperspirant and deodorant products
Habits since the introduction of the first commercial antiperspirant and deodorant, the use of these products have played an increasing role in a person's personal care. This article studies the physiology of human perspiration and responsible compounds for body odor. It also describes the function, classification, and differences between antiperspirants and deodorants.
متن کاملSimulation of Human Foot Mechanism with a Degree of Freedom Motion
The need for simulation of human foot mechanism has made researchers and engineers move towards different patterns to describe this movement. In this regard, optimal solutions such as energy consumption, accuracy, etc. are of utmost importance. In this paper, efforts have been made to present a new solution by designing a fully two-dimensional six-bar mechanism with one degree of freedom so tha...
متن کاملOptimal Control of Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease Model using Variational Iteration Method
In this paper, the optimal control of transmission dynamics of hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD), formulated by a compartmental deterministic SEIPR (Susceptible-Incubation (Exposed)- Infected - Post infection virus shedding - Recovered) model with vaccination and treatment as control parameters is considered. The objective function is based on the combination of minimizing the number of infec...
متن کاملKinematics and Dynamic Modelling of the Human Shoulder
This paper deals with kinematics and dynamics of the human shoulder in order to obtain the workspace related to the reachability of the wrist and applications to determine load for the wheelchair. The model contains six revolute degrees of freedom (D.O.F), two in costoclavicular and three in the shoulder joint and one in the elbow joint, while a six D.O.F model was developed according to given ...
متن کاملHuman Excretion of Polybrominated Diphenyl Ether Flame Retardants: Blood, Urine, and Sweat Study
Commonly used as flame retardants, polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs) are routinely detected in the environment, animals, and humans. Although these persistent organic pollutants are increasingly recognized as having serious health implications, particularly for children, this is the first study, to our knowledge, to investigate an intervention for human elimination of bioaccumulated PBDEs....
