Commendations: · The school has made considerable progress since the previous Teaching and Learning Audit particularly in the domains of Analysis and Discussion of Data and An Expert Teaching Team. · The involvement and contribution of the significant numbers of volunteers is exceptional. Volunteers assist teachers to differentiate their pedagogy for individual students or small groups within classes. They also assist with the implementation of the Support a Reader (SAR) and Help Our Writing (HOW) program. · The collaborative development of comprehensive, evidence-based class meeting notes at the end of each term ensures students are allocated to classes which will best support their needs. · The use of English as a Second Language (ESL) band scale data to identify the English language acquisition progress of students from arrival to exit. · The Home of Expressive Arts and Learning (HEAL) program and the use of art and music therapy to enhance student well-being, to aid in settlement and to improve learning outcomes. · The Foundation program developed to cater for students with low levels of literacy and students with special consideration. · A strong collegial culture exists in the school which facilitates professional student-centred discussions. · The extensive partnerships that have been formed with external agencies, both government and nongovernment, to enhance the effectiveness of the educational programs.
