Low Power Analog Front-end for the UHF Passive RFID Tag
نویسندگان
چکیده
The RFID is one of the representative wireless identification systems. Due to more complicated data management and faster processing speed, the RFID system has been widely employed. Compared to the battery embedded active tag, the passive tag has many advantages, such as a long life time, a small size, and a low cost [1]. But the passive tag must harvest its operational energy from the radiated electromagnetic wave from the reader. The tag should convert the RF power to the DC power. The power emission from the reader is legally restricted. As it gets worse, as the RF signal radiates through the air, it suffers from severe propagation loss. Therefore, the passive tag should have high RF to DC conversion efficiency and can operate with low power consumption.

A Low Voltage Low Power RF/Analog Front-end Circuit for Passive UHF RFID Tag
This paper presents a low voltage low power RF/analog front-end circuit for passive ultra high frequency (UHF) radio frequency identification (RFID) tag. Temperature compensation is achieved by a reference generator using sub-threshold techniques which requires lower supply voltage than conventional bandgap circuit. Some novel structures are developed to construct the building blocks, including...

Passive radio-frequency identification (RFID) tag has been used in many applications. While the RFID market is expected to grow, concerns about security and privacy of the RFID tag should be overcome for the future use. To overcome these issues, privacy-preserving authentication protocols based on cryptographic algorithms have been designed. However, to the best of our knowledge, evaluation of ...
