Generalised topological indices: Optimisation methodology and physico-chemical interpretation

چکیده
A new methodology that combines the generalized topological indices (GTI) and the down hill simplex optimisation procedure has been developed to search for optimised quantitative structure–property relationship models. The structural interpretation of the optimal molecular descriptors is attained analytically by means of the GTIs decomposition in terms of geodesics (shortest paths) in the molecular graph. This approach provides a clear explanation about the role of topological structure in the study of molecular physico-chemical properties. 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.

QSPR study on benzene derivatives to some physico-chemical properties by using topological indices
QSPR study on benzene derivatives have been made using recently introduced topological methodology. In this study the relationship between the Randic' (x'), Balaban (J), Szeged (Sz),Harary (H), Wiener (W), HyperWiener and Wiener Polarity (WP) to the thermal energy (Eth), heat capacity (CV) and entropy (S) of benzene derivatives is represented. Physicochemical properties are taken from the quant...
متن کاملComputing Certain Topological Indices of Generalised Mycielskian Graphs
The generalized Mycielskians are the generalization of the Mycielski graphs, which were introduced by Mycielski in 1955. A topological index is a numeric parameter mathematically derived from a graph and is invariant under automorphism of graphs. Topological indices are widely used for establishing correlations between the structure of a molecular compound and its different physico-chemical pro...
متن کاملOn the bounds of degree-based topological indices of the Cartesian product of F-sum of connected graphs
Topological indices are the mathematical tools that correlate the chemical structure with various physical properties, chemical reactivity or biological activity numerically. A topological index is a function having a set of graphs as its domain and a set of real numbers as its range. In QSAR/QSPR study, a prediction about the bioactivity of chemical compounds is made on the basis of physico-ch...
متن کاملModeling Molar Refraction and Chromatographic Retention by Szeged Indices
Physico-chemical properties, such as the boiling point, molar refraction, critical pressure, viscosity, chromatographic retention, etc. are rather simple experimental available properties of chemical compounds. They are tabulated and may be used e.g., in projecting industrial instalations. Sometimes, it happends that a given compound is toxic, or dangereus or simply not available. In such condi...
متن کاملZagreb Polynomials and Multiple Zagreb Indices for the Line Graphs of Banana Tree Graph, Firecracker Graph and Subdivision Graphs
A chemical graph can be recognized by a numerical number (topological index), algebraic polynomial or any matrix. These numbers and polynomials help to predict many physico-chemical properties of underline chemical compound. In this paper, 1Corresponding author. we compute first and second Zagreb polynomials and multiple Zagreb indices of the Line graphs of Banana tree graph, Firecracker graph ...
