چکیده
A Pfizer representative contacted the editorial office to raise concerns that there are image duplications in this article. Pfizer has undertaken a review and determined that there are duplications in Fig 4A of the article and that part of the experiments cannot be verified. In light of the concerns identified, the authors and the PLOS ONE Editors retract this article. We did not receive any comments from Min-Jean Yin, Rounak Nassirpour or Pramod Mehta.

miR-122 Regulates Tumorigenesis in Hepatocellular Carcinoma by Targeting AKT3
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been implicated in the orchestration of diverse cellular processes including differentiation, proliferation, and apoptosis and are believed to play pivotal roles as oncogenes and tumor suppressors. miR-122, a liver specific miRNA, is significantly down-regulated in most hepatocellular carcinomas (HCCs) but its role in tumorigenesis remains poorly understood. Here we iden...
متن کاملMicroRNA‑144 suppresses tumorigenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma by targeting AKT3.
Aberrant expression of microRNAs (miRNAs) has been shown to be associated with the progression and metastasis of cancer. Dysregulation of miR‑144 has been observed in numerous types of cancer; however, the exact role of miR‑144 in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remains unclear. The present study observed that miR‑144 was downregulated in HCC tissues and cell lines. Forced overexpression of miR‑...
متن کاملmiR-26b enhances radiosensitivity of hepatocellular carcinoma cells by targeting EphA2
Objective(s): Although low-dose radiotherapy (RT) that involves low collateral damage is more suitable for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) than traditional high-dose RT, but to achieve satisfactory therapeutic effect with low-dose RT, it is necessary to sensitize HCC cells to irradiation. This study was aimed to determine whether radiosensitivity of HCC cells can be enhanced using miR-26b by tar...
متن کاملmiR-92a promotes hepatocellular carcinoma cells proliferation and invasion by FOXA2 targeting
Objective(s): MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are considered as powerful, post-transcriptional regulators of gene expression in hepatocellular carcinoma cells (HCC). However, the function of miR-92a is still unclear in HCC. Materials and Methods: Expression of miR-92a in human HCC cell lines was evaluated using qRT-PCR. MTT assay and transwell assay were used to examine the function of miR-92a in HepG2 and ...
متن کاملMiR-122 Inhibits Cell Proliferation and Tumorigenesis of Breast Cancer by Targeting IGF1R
miRNAs are emerging as critical regulators in carcinogenesis and tumor progression. Recently, microRNA-122 (miR-122) has been proved to play an important role in hepatocellular carcinoma, but its functions in the context of breast cancer (BC) remain unknown. In this study, we report that miR-122 is commonly downregulated in BC specimens and BC cell lines with important functional consequences. ...
